Impounded animals

The below animals have been impounded by the City of Karratha, and we are looking for their lawful owners, if you believe any of these animals are yours, please contact the City on 9186 8555

The following are requirements prior to release of any animal:

• provide evidence of ownership
• Animal must be registered
• Animal must be microchipped
• Sterilised (Cats 6 months of age and older)
• All associated impound fees must be paid in line with the City of Karratha Fees and Charges
• Animals are held for prescribed periods in line with the Dog Act 1976 and Cat Act 2011. All unclaimed animals undertake a comprehensive assessment, where suitable animals are rehomed through SAFE Karratha

POUND RELEASE/COLLECTIONS

• Pound release occurs at 3.30pm Monday to Friday
• Weekend and afterhours collections may be available, however additional fees may apply.
